How to choose your size

Start with the size you usually wear in outerwear, then adjust based on how you want your kit to feel. Dope gear is made for movement, layering, and mountain comfort, so your preferred fit matters.

For a relaxed fit

Choose your regular size if you want room to move without going overly oversized.

For more room

Size up if you prefer a baggier look, want extra layering space, or like a looser snowwear feel.

For a cleaner fit

Size down only if you prefer a sharper, closer silhouette and still have enough room to move comfortably.

For matching sets

Jacket and pants sizes do not always need to match. Choose each piece based on your body shape, layering needs, and style preference.

Measuring tips

For the most accurate fit, measure over light clothing and keep the tape measure level. Do not pull the tape too tight.

  • Measure your chest around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape straight across your back.
  • Measure your waist where your pants normally sit, or where you prefer your snow pants to sit.
  • Measure your hips around the fullest part of your seat.
  • Measure your inseam from the crotch seam down to where you want the pant leg to finish.
  • Measure sleeve length from the top of your shoulder down toward your wrist with your arm slightly bent.

Fit notes

Snowwear should let you bend, twist, reach, sit, and layer without feeling restricted. When trying on a jacket, lift your arms and check that the shoulders and sleeves still feel comfortable. When trying on pants, bend your knees and make sure the waist, seat, and thighs do not feel tight.

If you are between sizes, choose the larger size for a roomier fit, heavier layering, or a more oversized look. Choose the smaller size only if you prefer a cleaner fit and your movement still feels easy.

Check the product details

Fit can vary by product type, cut, insulation level, and style. Before you order, review the size options and product details on the item page for the exact jacket, pants, or layer you are buying.

If a size is unavailable, choose another available size only if it still matches your fit needs. A close size is not always the right size for a full day on the mountain.
